Since several decades and in some countries, physically handicapped persons have been allowed to train for and obtain a private pilot license. Thanks to the intensive efforts of some dedicated people during these last years, this possibility has finally been authorized in Luxembourg in 2007. A foundation called “FONDATION "I" COMME ICARE” has been set up and by extensive sponsoring, it managed to acquire a convenient aircraft which is specially equipped for candidates in a wheel-chair.

The aircraft is a MORANE MS-893 Commodore, specifically adapted to the task although retaining all of the standard flight controls.

This aircraft has been placed under the responsibility of AVIASPORT flight school in order to train those candidates.
